Aircraft communications are MONAURAL in nature and do not need the extra channel as required for stereo. In addition, many pilots do prefer to offer their passengers the same in-flight entertainment that they experience in air carrier flights. To that end, Softcomm has introduced Stereo Models of our Panel Mounted Intercoms. These Stereo Models have all the features of our Monaural models PLUS allow the passengers full Stereophonic sound such as they may have in their homes or automobiles. These intercoms require the use of a Stereo Headset to hear both stereo channels. Softcomm produces a full line of Aviation Headsets including Stereo Headsets such as our C-40S. |

This full-featured, two-station portable intercom is compatible with the ICOM family of handheld radios. An interface cable supplied attaches directly into the ICOM transceiver. Pilot and Copilot can both transmit. It has a PTT / LED indicator on the intercom front panel. AUX power cords and Recorder features included free. There is a provision for two (2) 9VDC batteries. The Pilot and Copilot can both transmit individually through the "Y-Block" with dual portable PTT switches or Pilot "In-Yoke" PTT's independently. It has a lighted PTT in the panel.
