SOFTCOMM has designed a comfortable and reliable means of listening to all the action, while at the same time, preserving their hearing from the all-too-familiar noise of the engines and roar of the crowd.  The Federal EPA agency says that noise above the level of -70 dB (a scientific measurement of noise) can permanently damage the hearing abilities of an adult.  It is even more critical to protect the hearing of a child whose ears are more susceptible to damage from this wonderful sport of auto racing.

SOFTCOMM has also designed an intercom that can be used between a group of racing fans to talk between each other using a VOX (voice-operated switching) for turning the microphone on automatically when you speak and turning it off when you stop speaking.  The benefits are tremendous for quieting the outside noise and hearing others on the Intercom when they talk to you.  The Intercom is mounted inside a weatherproof "belly-pack" that fits around the waist of the owner and allows three (3) friends (a four-station intercom model) to be on the system.  The intercom can monitor two (2) independent Scanner radios, and anyone can listen to either one, selectable at the intercom.
